From Automation to Authenticity: Why we pivoted from Zaplify to Andsend
Last modified: 4/20/2025
Over the past decade sales outreach has increased rapidly, and with it so has spam. The more we tried to scale outbound emails, the less effective they became. As founder of Zaplify, an outbound sales automation platform, I got to see this pattern firsthand, as I saw our own customers get fewer and fewer responses. More spam = fewer readers = weaker results.
Over the last four years, Zaplify watched sales outreach crumble under its own weight.
As a result, Email providers and governments have been responding with regulations, restrictions, and protection acts to fight mass outreach and spam. This wasn’t surprising – it was necessary.
It didn’t make me proud realizing that Zaplify contributed to this trend. It was a wake-up call for the whole team. We knew something had to change.
We faced a decision: either find ways to bypass the rules and contribute to more noise in our channels, or pivot and build something entirely different – something that empowers quality and prioritizes real, meaningful connections. Something that actually improves the way we communicate.
Our new vision was clear: to create a product that helps professionals build genuine relationships and cut through the noise, making communication better for everyone.
The problem
The problem we set out to solve was simply that B2B professionals are drowning in content and communication. Our inboxes are constantly flooded, and the people we need to reach are often in the same situation – overwhelmed and unlikely to respond to yet another email. It’s a vicious cycle: we spend more time than ever reading, writing, and trying to filter what's important. At the same time it's harder than ever to cut through the noise and actually reach the people you want to reach.
Whether you’re a founder, CEO, salesperson, or customer success manager, you’ve probably experienced the stress that this constant multi-tasking and communication pressure leads to. In the past year, I’ve heard more salespeople voice frustration over email and pipeline work than ever before. The endless stream of messages is leaving many drained, demotivated, and struggling to stay engaged.
So here's what we envisioned
Imagine starting your day in a combined LinkedIn and email inbox already prepared with the replies, follow-ups, and new messages you need to send.
Every message is prepared and written in your tone of voice, sounding just like you wrote it yourself.
That’s what a unified messenger for LinkedIn and email looks like, powered by an AI that acts as your hyper-efficient assistant. It crafts personalized messages, prioritize your work, and handle the communication overload.
The important part:
Andsend doesn’t replace you.
It supports you.
You’re in charge of the send button.
Add your final touch and send.
With Andsend, we set out to reduce pipeline anxiety and help you focus on building professional relationships that matter. We don't believe in spam and we don't believe in replacing people with avatars. We believe in empowering you – the individual. The future of b2b communication is one where genuine connections take center stage, and we are more excited than ever to be part of it.
Zaplify is out, Andsend is in.
Same team, better and stronger product in every way.
Built from the ground up to make the best of AI in a spammy world,
amplifying value in every conversation.
